A 6-week course with only 10 spots available!

Goal

The goal of this course is to spread the knowledge of AI technology to promote scientific innovation and accomplishments. Within the span of 6 weeks, students will learn about the concept of AI and image classification, and will get to build a hand motion classifier of their own.

THE SPECIFICS

The course itself will require an interview, as spots are limited. It will be hosted on a weekly basis (times are negotiable) in the general area of South Surrey, BC. The class size will be 10 people.

START: 2nd week of October (~14th)
END: 3rd week of November (~18th)

Week 1: Introduction

This will be an introduction week where se will first go over github setups, the basics of neural networks, and the basics of tensorflow.

Week 2: Convnets and pytorch

In this week, we will learn about convolutional neural networks and how they work. We will try to build our very own network using Pytorch this week.

Week 3: let’s build!

We will start building our model in week 3. This will be built with tensorflow keras.

Week 4: Laptop demo

In week 4, we will finish up your model and create a laptop demo.

Week 5: Raspberry pi

Next, we will learn about deploying your model on a raspberry pi. This week will include the raspberry pi setup, as well as modifying your demo code for the raspberrry pi.

Week 6: Conclusion

This week will be the conclusion where we push our code to github and create a readme, as well as have a competition (based on accuracy and latency).
